Doll of the Month - July - Etta

Here is Sue’s July Doll – Etta Doll Company

Her original black costume had to be re-lined because the red silk was shattering. The blouse was re-made, using the original, which was ironed onto freezer paper to stabilize, and Sue created a pattern from it that will remain with doll.

Looks like Sue had to restore her hands, too.
Here are all the pieces to her wardrobe.

Her silk blouse is shattered.

Wow, her stained cheeks have been minimalized.

What a great-looking doll.

Her outfit has been restored.

I love the detail of her jacket!

Boudoir Doll Sighting - The Film "Speedy" - Harold Lloyd - 1928

Harold Lloyd, Ann Christy in "Speedy" 1928 - boudoir doll given away as prize at Coney Island.

Unfortunately, this YouTube film clip has the wrong music and repeats scenes and has scenes out of context so it doesn't represent the movie correctly. The Coney Island part of this movie, the way it originally was, was great! You might want to rent the DVD - Netflix has it. Anyway, boudoir doll starts at 3:54.........
