Rosalinde - The 1927 Palm Beach, Florida Fad!

What a fabulous eBay find! Here is a 1927 news photo of a French Rosalinde boudoir doll with the following description -

"Exquisitely Gowned Dolls Latest Fad Adopted by Society at Palm Beach"

"PALM BEACH, FLA - The exclusive novelty shops are displaying dolls garbed in the most elaborate and gorgeous costumes-- dolls which delight and thrill the hearts of sub-debs, debbies and their doting mamas. Costly fabrics and expert workmanship is incorporated in their making."

"PHOTO SHOWS- A doll typifying the days of Queen Marie Antoinette"
